President's BioThrough active membership in professional organizations such as the Direct Marketing Association and The American Institute of Graphic Artists, Phillip Barnes has had the honor of studying and learning from some of the best internationally renown marketing professionals out there today in the areas of graphic design, direct marketing, search engine marketing, mass marketing and business planning. After studying design and entrepreneurship in college, it was clear to Phil that owning a successful business that contributed something significant to the community was the obvious path to follow. Lancing Direct was born out of seeing a need for local governments to be proactive in reaching out to their communities and being intentional about growing them, but not having access to all the marketing tools that could help them. As president of Lancing Direct, Phil Barnes knows this is where marketing skills and a good communication strategy can transform the way municipalities grow. "I have been asked why I created such a unique business dedicated to serving the local government, especially when my background is in marketing everything else from non-profits, industrial manufacturing and pharmacy. For me though, it's about truly making a difference, and contributing something to my community as I learned when I became an Eagle Scout in my youth.
